About Onfon Microfinance

Onfon Microfinance is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to support its financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, taxation, asset management, payroll processing, procurement, and financial reporting to ensure effective financial management and accurate accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will perform the following duties:

1. Budgeting: Assist in preparing and managing budgets to support the company’s financial planning.

2. Taxation: Manage tax-related functions and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

3. Asset Management: Manage current and fixed assets and maintain accurate asset records.

4. Accounts Receivable and Payable: Oversee receivables and payables to ensure accurate and timely transactions.

5. Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.

6. Petty Cash and Banking Management: Manage petty cash transactions and banking activities.

7. Procurement: Support procurement activities in accordance with company procedures.

8. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports to support decision-making.

9. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A graduate qualification in Finance or a degree in a business-related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is an added advantage.

• At least two years of experience working in a busy accounting environment.
