Position Overview

The Accounts Officer will support day-to-day financial operations at the plant, including petty cash management, employee-related ledgers, statutory returns, payroll support, and financial reconciliations.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, experienced in accounting operations, and capable of working independently in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of CSR expenses, Funeral Fund, and Annual Leave ledgers
• Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions
• Verify employee advances and loans for final settlements in collaboration with HR
• File VAT returns using the TRA portal system
• Calculate and file statutory returns including:
  • WCF
  • SDL
  • Withholding Tax
• Prepare monthly salary data for payroll processing
• Follow up on petty cash advances for factory expenditures
• Record transporter invoices in ERP and reconcile with GRNs for monthly provisions
• Support accounting operations during absence of team members

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess any one of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Diploma in Accountancy
• CPA Intermediate or equivalent qualification

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience in independent cash handling and daybook maintenance
• Strong understanding of monthly and annual financial closures
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
  • VLOOKUP
  • Pivot Tables
  • Formulas
• Experience in bank reconciliations for current and overdraft accounts
• Knowledge of inventory management, bill processing, and document flow
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to verify contractor, transporter, and manpower calculations
