Additionally, in collaboration with Zoetis, the company operates a state-of-the-art poultry disease diagnostic laboratory in Dar es Salaam to provide microbiology and surveillance services for flock health.
Job Opportunity: Assistant Accountant at Interchick
Interchick (Kuku Mfalme), a recipient of the Superbrands 2024-2026 award, is currently seeking a qualified Assistant Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage various financial and inventory tasks, including:

Reconciliations: Perform raw material reconciliations between the General Ledger, Subsidiary ledgers, and physical stock.

Sales & Inventory: Review daily sales reports from all Feed shops and depots to reconcile finished feed stocks.

Invoicing & Claims: Review invoices from Feed Transporters and Casual Labourers’ claims for correctness and approval prior to payment.

Stock Management: Coordinate raw material transfers between locations and ensure maize stock in silos is counted monthly.

Reporting: Run daily production outputs in the system and prepare/post month-end journal entries.

Audits: Participate in year-end statutory audits, internal audit reviews, and physical stock counts.

Support: Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or an equivalent qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Age: Between 22 and 35 years old.
