Job Purpose
Dealing with reconciliations and payments within the Company. Handling daily operational issues such as preparation of journal vouchers, cheque replacement, and generating transactions into the ledgers.
Main Responsibilities

Bank Reconciliation Oversight & Control: Support the Finance Manager in overseeing the preparation and review of monthly bank reconciliations; follow up on reconciling items and drive resolution of outstanding issues to maintain audit-ready balances.

Cash Flow Monitoring & Liquidity Management: Assist in monitoring daily and projected cash flows to ensure optimal liquidity for operations and claims; support effective fund allocation across accounts.

Treasury Operations & Investment Execution: Support execution of treasury strategies by ensuring excess funds are invested in approved instruments (Bonds, fixed deposits, etc.) in line with policy; maintain documentation and tax records.

Payments Management & Controls: Oversee the payments process to ensure disbursements are accurate, authorized per the Delegation of Authority (DOA), and executed timely to minimize fraud risks.

Systems Reconciliation & Process Support: Support integration and data integrity between core systems (e.g., Premia and Sage); assist in system enhancements and automation initiatives.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Ledger Integrity: Ensure timely reconciliation of treasury-related balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to maintain financial record accuracy.

Financial & Regulatory Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly investment reports, IDS submissions, and regulatory returns, ensuring they are accurate and submitted on time.

Audit Support & Compliance: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audits regarding treasury and payments; provide documentation to ensure compliance with policies.

Operational Efficiency: Drive improvements through automation and standardization to enhance reconciliation efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

CPA or similar professional qualifications.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting operations.
