Job Description

An Automotive Sales Representative is responsible for selling new and used vehicles by assisting customers in selecting vehicles that meet their needs and budget. The role involves building strong customer relationships, demonstrating vehicle features, negotiating sales, and ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and assess their vehicle needs and preferences.
  • Provide detailed information about vehicle features, specifications, pricing, and available financing options.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
  • Prepare and present sales quotations and negotiate prices within company guidelines.
  • Follow up with prospective customers to generate and close sales opportunities.
  • Process sales documentation accurately and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with finance, insurance, and service departments to facilitate vehicle delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of current vehicle models, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.

  • Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Number of repeat customers and referrals.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of sales documentation.
  • Compliance with company policies and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
