Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Operations Leadership
- Lead and manage clearing, forwarding, and fleet operations.
- Ensure service delivery is timely, compliant, and cost-effective.
2. Sales & Service Promotion
- Promote logistics and fleet-enabled transport services.
- Address client challenges and present tailored value propositions.
3. Contract Management
- Prepare, review, and manage sales contracts.
- Ensure legal compliance, clarity, and mutually beneficial terms.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with customs authorities, ports, shipping agents, transporters, and fleet operators.
- Facilitate smooth execution of trade and logistics operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Professional Certification
- East Africa Customs Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate (EACFFPC) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development within:
- Logistics
- Supply chain
- Transport
- Freight forwarding
