Job Purpose

The successful candidate will actively manage and drive effective local procurement and continuous optimization to support the strategy of increased contract buying by building and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders for strong and efficient service delivery.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day to day buying or related planning using system
• Manage and execute the buying process of non contracted goods and services in accordance with the company’s procurement policy transactions
• Respond to and implement findings from analytical use of data analytics and reports to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities for optimization of contract buying or improved inventory management
• Implement agreed best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers in the buying process.
• Manage and action raised purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the system and prioritize these them based on the business needs and requirements
• Enter accurate data capture into the system during the buying process to enable reliable reporting and analysis
• Communicate with line managers and suppliers to ensure Procurement expectations are being met
• Lead and manage supplier performance management for non-contracted vendors (collaboration between contract management, buyers and expeditors)
• Work with line managers to gather performance data to manage the quality of service with established vendors
• Negotiate every purchase order to receive the best value (terms and conditions, price, etc.)
• Provide support and coaching to end users regarding the procurement process
• Adhere to Kilombero SHERQ policies, procedures and guidelines

Job Qualification and Experience

•  Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related field
• 3 years’ experience working in Procurement and Supply Chain environment
• Extensive knowledge in computer and be proficient in MS Excel and Office
• SAP knowledge and experience would be an added advantage.
