Job Title: Channels and Integration Specialist

Role Overview
This position supports the bank’s digital transformation initiatives. It requires expertise in both front-end (UX) and back-end technologies to integrate systems with user-facing channels and support Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) development. Responsibilities focus on backend scaling, credit process automation, arrears management, and digital channel maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

Define software design requirements by analyzing program objectives and input/output parameters alongside analysts and clients.

Develop program sequences, workflow charts, and UML diagrams.

Build, customize, and integrate software solutions for existing systems (including ESB) and high-level applications.

Perform unit testing, code debugging, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).

Maintain comprehensive technical, API, and user operational documentation.

Conduct system upgrades, maintain secure coding standards (OWASP), and track code changes using version control tools.

Provide support for digital channels, peripheral systems, and third-party API integrations.
Candidate Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Professional certifications in IT (e.g., Unix, Linux, Windows, C#, C++, Java, Python).

Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) or IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL, COBIT5) are desirable.
Technical Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years of working experience in IT supporting and implementing banking applications.

Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and core Java.

Development experience with Jakarta EE (EJB, CDI, JAX-RS, JPA) or Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Integration).

Hands-on knowledge of application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, Payara), relational database systems, Shell/SQL scripting, and DevOps/CI-CD tools.

Experience with banking systems and core platforms (Temenos T24 experience is a strong advantage).

Familiarity with web/mobile development frameworks and major operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows).
