Job Purpose
To count, check, verify, dispatch, and receive stock by physically confirming goods loaded and offloaded. The role also involves processing invoices (digital/manual), handling POS transactions, maintaining stock control processes, and supporting safety and inventory management routines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Health, Safety & Environment
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards
- Use designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Comply with all safety and environmental requirements
- Report and address non-conformities
2. Stock Quality Management
- Apply stock rotation principles (FEFO)
- Conduct packaging quality checks before loading
- Ensure effective inventory control in line with policies
- Perform daily stock counts using handheld devices
- Generate variance reports and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with inventory and warehouse teams
3. Loading & Unloading Operations
- Coordinate load plan execution with stakeholders (Commercial, Credit, Inventory, Logistics)
- Verify and complete all documentation accurately
- Ensure load plans are reviewed and signed by required personnel
- Process stock movements (transfers, breakages, issues) in ERP systems
- Conduct physical truck counts to confirm quantities
- Record returns accurately before unloading
- Participate in stock deviation investigations and recommend improvements
4. Reporting
- Update beer age and FIFO/FEFO compliance trackers
- Monitor and report digital system usage
- Track full pallet checks and update BIT/refusal reports daily
- Ensure POS reports are accurate and complete

Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business
- At least 2 years of warehouse/logistics experience
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
