Job Purpose
The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Construction Management
- Manage and oversee all construction activities on-site.
- Ensure effective execution of project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate day-to-day site operations.
2. Leadership & Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise construction teams.
- Ensure all workers perform duties safely and efficiently.
- Promote teamwork and productivity on-site.
3. Project Monitoring & Control
- Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Track project budgets and control costs.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Enforce company procedures and site safety rules.
- Promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Relevant qualification in:
- Construction Management, or
- Engineering, or
- Related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in remote or project-based environments.
- Experience in mining or industrial construction is an added advantage.
