Job Description

Yas Tanzania is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Data Transformation Manager.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data warehousing, with proven experience in data transformation, particularly post-loaded data manipulation.

Core Responsibilities

Data Transformation & Modelling

• Design and implement scalable data transformation layers and business-ready data models to support analytics and reporting.

Process Mapping & Optimization

• Document current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and redesign processes using appropriate tools.

Data Quality & Governance

• Establish data quality controls, documentation standards, and governance frameworks to ensure metric consistency.

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

• Translate business requirements and logic into standardized, reusable data models, SQL, or dbt code.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with data engineering, BI, analytics, and business teams to ensure solutions meet expectations and deliver value.

Competencies

• Expert-level SQL skills, with the ability to write, optimize, and debug complex queries for large-scale datasets.
• Deep understanding of data modelling concepts.
• Strong analytical skills.
