Financial Reporting Officer Job Vacancy at CRDB, Lubumbashi September 2026

The Candidates must be in Katanga as the role is based in Lubumbashi.

To ensure that the Bank’s financial and regulatory reports are accurate, complete and prepared on a timely basis in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards, including IFRS and GCEC, regulatory guidelines, Bank policies and established procedures.

·       Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual trial balances and financial reports.

·       Prepare and monitor compliance with financial covenants applicable to DFIs and other financial institutions.

·       Ensure the proper maintenance and integrity of financial records, books of accounts and supporting documentation.

·       Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to the Central Bank and other relevant authorities in accordance with applicable prudential requirements and reporting timelines.

·       Support the maintenance of the General Ledger and the accurate posting and processing of financial transactions.

·       Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide the required information and support to facilitate timely and effective audits and reviews.

·       Work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information and provide relevant financial analysis and insights to support business needs.

·       Support the development and implementation of financial reporting policies, procedures and controls to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting process.

·       Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements and the Bank’s financial policies and procedures.

·       Perform any other duties and responsibilities within Finance and Administration as may be assigned by the Senior Officer – Financial Reporting from time to time.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA, or progress towards obtaining such certification, will be an added advantage.

Experience

·       1-3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance function.

·       Experience within a banking or financial services environment is highly preferred.

·       Experience in preparing financial statements, management reports, or regulatory returns is an added advantage.

Knowledge

·       Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) accounting principles.

·       Good understanding of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.

·       Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and prudential guidelines.

·       Understanding of IFRS and applicable accounting standards.

·       Knowledge of trial balance preparation and account reconciliations.

·       Understanding of financial controls and audit requirements.

·       Good understanding of core banking systems and financial reporting processes.

·       Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements.

·       Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis tools.

·       Understanding of financial covenants and compliance monitoring.

·       Ability to analyze financial data and investigate variances or discrepancies.
