Elegex Logistics Limited is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleets Dispatcher to join its team in Dar es Salaam.

Job Summary

The Fleets Dispatcher will serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, clients, and internal operations teams. The successful candidate will coordinate daily transportation schedules, assign routes, monitor shipments in real time, and resolve logistical challenges to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in transport or fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Route Planning & Scheduling

• Plan and assign daily delivery routes and schedules for drivers.
• Optimize routes to improve efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.

2. Fleet Monitoring

• Monitor vehicles and shipments in real time using GPS tracking and fleet management systems.
• Track delivery progress and identify potential delays.

3. Communication Management

• Serve as the main communication link between drivers, warehouse teams, and customers.
• Provide regular updates regarding delivery status and operational issues.

4. Problem Solving & Coordination

• Resolve transportation challenges including:
  • Route disruptions
  • Vehicle breakdowns
  • Traffic delays
  • Delivery discrepancies

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of:
  • Shipments
  • Driver working hours
  • Fuel consumption
  • Incident reports
• Ensure proper processing of transport documents such as waybills and delivery notes.

6. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure drivers comply with company safety procedures, traffic regulations, and transport requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • Business Administration
  • Any related field

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or in a similar transport operations role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially:
  • MS Excel
  • MS Word
• Experience using:
  • GPS tracking systems
  • Fleet management software
  • Logistics management systems

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in:
  • English
  • Swahili

Personal Attributes

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts or handle on-call duties when required.
