Globotech, a Pan-African mission-critical infrastructure provider specializing in data centers and energy systems, is recruiting for several technical roles based in Tanzania. The company operates 24/7 using a 12-hour day/night shift rotation.


1. Data Center Technician (Mission-Critical Operations)

  • Location: Tanzania (multi-site)

  • Role Purpose: Ensure continuous operation through real-time monitoring, alarm response, and first-level fault diagnosis.

  • Core Responsibilities:

    • Monitor UPS, generators, ATS, cooling systems, and environmental factors (temp/humidity).

    • Respond to alarms from platforms like Zabbix/AIVA within SLAs.

    • Perform routine inspections and support preventive maintenance.

    • Maintain accurate shift logs and incident records.

  • Requirements:

    • Education: Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics & Telecommunications.

    • Experience: 2–5 years in data centers, telecom sites, or industrial facilities.

    • Skills: Knowledge of UPS, generators, fuel systems, and cooling fundamentals; ability to work independently during night shifts.

2. Data Center Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical)

  • Location: Tanzania (with regional assignments across Africa)

  • Role Purpose: Ensure reliability, rapid fault resolution, and optimization of systems across multiple sites.

  • Core Responsibilities:

    • Electrical: Troubleshoot UPS, ATS, LV distribution, and analyze fault conditions; ensure N+1/2N redundancy.

    • Mechanical: Manage precision cooling (CRAC/CRAH/DX/HVAC) and optimize thermal performance.

    • Leadership: Lead incident response, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and coordinate with NOC teams.

  • Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

    • Experience: 3–7 years in mission-critical environments (data centers/telecom/industrial).

    • Skills: Strong understanding of redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N) and incident management.

3. NOC Engineer (Mission-Critical Infrastructure)

  • Location: Tanzania (Central NOC)

  • Role Purpose: Provide continuous monitoring and control of infrastructure across multiple facilities.

  • Core Responsibilities:

    • Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix/AIVA and analyze alarms.

    • Coordinate site responses and maintain logs for SLA compliance.

    • Ensure complete incident logging from onset to full closure and reporting.

  • Requirements:

    • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, IT, or Electrical Engineering.

    • Experience: 2–5 years in NOC environments.

    • Skills: Knowledge of monitoring systems, SNMP, TCP/IP, and basic networking; familiarity with data center infrastructure (BMS, LV Panels).
