About the Position

Witeshi Paradise Hotel is inviting applications from hardworking and reliable candidates for the position of Housekeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and orderliness throughout the hotel while ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms and corridors every day.

• Make beds and change bed linen and towels.

• Restock guest room supplies, including soap, toilet paper and drinking water.

• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum floors and furniture.

• Clean public areas, including reception, lounges, staircases and restrooms.

• Collect and wash laundry, ensuring linen is clean and properly organised.

• Report damaged items and maintenance problems to the supervisor.

• Handle guests’ lost property honestly and hand recovered items over to management.

• Respect guest privacy and follow hotel safety and hygiene procedures.

• Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas clean and organised.

Flexibility and Additional Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to assist with other hotel duties when required, including servicing, reception support and any other responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Willingness to relocate from their home area and live at the hotel in Shinyanga.

• Honest, hardworking and attentive to detail.

• Ability and willingness to work in shifts.
