The position is with Third Man Limited (Upendo Honey), a Kigoma-based honey and wax processing company focused on connecting local honey producers with consumers who value quality, sustainability, and social impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, record, and follow up on hazards, near misses, incidents, and accidents.
• Lead or support incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and effective.
• Conduct HSSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments at facilities and in field operations.
• Work with operational teams to identify and address health, safety, security, and environmental risks.
• Promote a strong safety culture through on-the-job guidance and open reporting.
• Support supervisors and managers in integrating HSSE practices into daily operations.
• Track, analyse, and report HSSE indicators, including:
  • Incidents
  • Near misses
  • Training coverage
  • Inspection findings
• Provide management with clear HSSE updates, trends, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
• National Occupational Safety and Health Course (NOSHC) Certificate by OSHA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in an HSSE, HSE, or OSH role, preferably within processing, agricultural, or field-based environments.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proactive and hands-on approach.
• Ability to learn by doing and work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
