Job Summary

Amana Bank is seeking a qualified ICT Officer, Network & Security to support the installation, maintenance, monitoring, and protection of the bank’s network and computing infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reliable network performance, infrastructure security, and smooth ICT operations across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, network systems, and related software
• Support infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and patch management

Network Performance

• Monitor system and network performance
• Implement tuning and optimization measures
• Utilize monitoring tools such as SNMP for proactive remote monitoring

Security & Protection

• Implement network security measures
• Manage anti-virus and anti-spam systems
• Ensure backup systems are in place to prevent data loss
• Manage firewalls and VPN connections for third parties

Branch Support

• Assess branch LAN requirements for hardware and firmware
• Make recommendations for equipment procurement and upgrades

Collaboration

• Work with consultants and vendors on LAN/WAN design, implementation, and troubleshooting

Maintenance & Administration

• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Support ongoing maintenance of ICT infrastructure

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
  • ICT
  • Computer Science
  • Or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field

Certifications

• CCNA certification or higher is required

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of networking and information security
• Ability to stay updated with current technology and industry trends
• Self-motivated and proactive working approach
