Job Summary

Exceed Solutions is seeking a motivated and target-driven IT Field Sales Executive to drive sales of software, hardware, and enterprise IT solutions. This is a field-based role involving client visits, site inspections, tender participation, solution presentations, and sales closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Conduct field visits to corporate, government, parastatal, and NGO clients.
  • Sell ERP systems, business applications, networking equipment, laptops, PCs, MAXHUB displays, and IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Participate in tender processes and prepare bid documents.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, events, and client meetings.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software and/or hardware technology sales.
  • Experience with ERP or systems integration companies is highly preferred.
  • Proven record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling to corporate, government, or parastatal organizations is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Own vehicle is an added advantage.

Technical Knowledge

Applicants should have knowledge of:

  • ERP solutions (SAP Business One, ERPNext, or similar).
  • Networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless solutions, structured cabling).
  • IT infrastructure.
  • Hardware products (laptops, desktops, printers, MAXHUB displays, peripherals).
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI (advantage).
  • Cybersecurity, cloud, and data centre solutions (advantage).

Required Tools & Platforms

  • CRM: HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Lead Generation: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Hunter.io, ZoomInfo.
  • E-Procurement: NeST, TANePS, PPRA Portal, UNGM, World Bank eConsultant2, AfDB Portal.
  • Productivity: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Power BI.
  • Communication: WhatsApp Business, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet.

Additional Requirements

  • Must own a laptop.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication in English and Swahili.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to explain technical solutions in business terms.
