Job Description

HOPE HOLDING, operating under the Amal Home brand, is seeking two qualified and experienced IT Officers to support and maintain its information technology infrastructure within a carpet manufacturing facility.

The successful candidates will provide technical support for factory IT systems, digital production equipment, networks, and administrative technology. They will help ensure the reliability of digital systems used in manufacturing operations while supporting digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure and Technical Support

• Support and maintain digital equipment used within the manufacturing facility.

• Monitor and troubleshoot production-related IT systems, devices, and networks.

• Maintain factory Wi-Fi infrastructure, printers, CCTV systems, barcode scanners, and other digital production devices.

• Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining hardware and digital equipment used in production and administration.

• Resolve hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.

2. Production Systems and Operational Technology

• Support production reporting systems and other operational technology platforms.

• Monitor the performance and reliability of digital systems used in manufacturing operations.

• Provide technical support for factory digital systems and production equipment.

• Contribute to the effective use of technology in production and administrative processes.

3. IT Asset Management and Documentation

• Maintain accurate IT asset registers and equipment records.

• Update system documentation and records relating to IT equipment.

• Support the proper maintenance and management of digital devices and IT resources.

4. Digital Transformation and Continuous Improvement

• Support digital transformation initiatives within the manufacturing facility.

• Identify opportunities to improve IT support processes and technology performance.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing operational efficiency and system reliability.

Required Knowledge and Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and practical skills in the following areas:

• Network and digital device support.

• Printer configuration and troubleshooting.

• Hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• IT systems support and troubleshooting in an operational environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

• At least three years of experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing, industrial, or operational environment.

• Professional certifications in Networking, Cybersecurity, Systems Administration, or related areas will be an added advantage.

• Experience supporting factory digital systems, production technologies, or operational technology (OT) environments will be an added advantage.

Candidates should have strong troubleshooting abilities and be capable of supporting technology systems in a manufacturing environment where operational continuity is important.
