About the role

Onfon Microfinance is seeking an IT Support Specialist with experience in API support, Linux OS, and entry-level development skills.

Job description and requirements

Educational background

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical skills

The ideal candidate should have the following technical skills:

• Programming languages: Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js, PHP, and JavaScript.
• API support: Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Database management: Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Operating system: Knowledge and experience in working with Linux operating systems.

Experience

Applicants should have:

• Work experience: Above one year of professional experience in software development or software support.
• Project management: Ability to support multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
• Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to collaborative projects.

Soft skills

Applicants should demonstrate the following soft skills:

• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
