Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related field
• Knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory testing procedures
• Computer literacy and proficiency in data recording and reporting
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a cement manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of quality control systems, laboratory standards, and testing methodologies
• Understanding of OSHA requirements and workplace safety practices
Your Next Challenge
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring quality control activities across the entire cement manufacturing process, from mining operations through to the packing plant. You will ensure accurate sample collection, testing, analysis, interpretation, and timely communication of results to relevant teams to support operational excellence and product quality.
You will maintain laboratory methods and procedures for both chemical and physical testing activities, ensuring compliance with established standards and best laboratory practices. The role requires close collaboration with production and quality teams to support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
As part of your responsibilities, you will oversee shift laboratory operations, provide guidance to shift personnel, and communicate operational feedback and quality observations to the Laboratory Superintendent and Quality & Process Manager.
You will also support the maintenance and improvement of laboratory procedures, ensuring testing equipment, methods, and reporting systems remain effective and reliable in delivering accurate results.
A strong commitment to safety and compliance is essential. You will ensure adherence to OSHA requirements, company policies, laboratory standards, and the Heidelberg Materials Group Business Conduct, Compliance Policies, and Guidelines.
