Job Description

Mogo Credit Tanzania is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Loan Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, promoting loan products, assessing customer creditworthiness, processing loan applications, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Loan Origination and Sales

• Identify and acquire new clients through field activities, referrals, and branch walk-ins.

• Promote loan products and explain terms clearly to prospective customers.

• Meet and exceed assigned daily, weekly, and monthly loan disbursement targets.

2. Client Assessment and Credit Analysis

• Conduct client screening and affordability assessments.

• Collect and verify required documentation.

• Perform field visits for client verification where necessary.

• Ensure all applications meet credit policy and risk standards.

3. Loan Processing and Disbursement

• Prepare and submit complete loan applications for approval.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely loan processing.

• Ensure proper documentation before disbursement.

4. Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

• Provide after-sales support and handle client inquiries.

• Encourage repeat business and client referrals.

5. Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

• Submit daily and weekly performance reports to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong sales and negotiation skills.

• 0–1 years of work experience.

• Basic credit analysis and risk assessment ability.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

• Basic computer skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
