About the Role

TMHS Group Limited is seeking an enthusiastic, competent, and self-motivated Medical Supplies Officer with strong liaison and lobbying skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medical supply chains, securing key contracts, and building strategic professional networks to achieve departmental objectives.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Care

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer complaints within 24 hours.
  • Escalate major customer issues to the Head of Department when necessary.

Procurement and Liaison

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Secure medical supply contracts through effective networking.
  • Support procurement activities for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare consumables.

Market Research

  • Monitor and analyze trends in the medical supplies market.
  • Identify leading medical brands to strengthen the product portfolio.
  • Provide market insights to support product planning and business growth.

Tender Management

  • Coordinate the full tendering process from sourcing to delivery.
  • Follow up on tenders to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
  • Ensure tender processes are conducted professionally and efficiently.

Business and NGO Development

  • Develop professional networks to secure NGO and institutional projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities and public sector contracts.
  • Support business development initiatives within the Medical Supplies Department.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Coordinate product registration with regulatory authorities, including TMDA.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for medical supplies.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance throughout procurement, registration, and distribution processes.

Distribution and Networking

  • Coordinate the distribution of medical supplies to hospitals, private clinics, and home-based care providers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities and service providers.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of medical supplies.

Reporting and Record Management

  • Maintain accurate departmental records and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to the Head of Department.
  • Ensure records are properly updated and readily accessible.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.
  • Support departmental initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, growth, and service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven practical experience in handling medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare consumables.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and lobbying skills.
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ready to start work immediately.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to regulatory compliance.
