ABOUT THE ROLE
Skynet Communication is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Merchant Operations Manager to oversee merchant operations, lead field teams, drive merchant growth, and ensure excellent day-to-day operational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and coordinate all Merchant Operations activities.

Supervise Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Sales/Field Teams.

Monitor merchant recruitment, registration, activation, and performance.

Set, monitor, and drive team targets to ensure they are achieved.

Analyze merchant performance and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
-
Monitor transactions and ensure merchants remain active and productive.
-
Develop strategies to increase merchant acquisition, activity, and performance.
-
Identify and resolve challenges affecting merchants and field teams.
-
Conduct regular field monitoring and ensure company procedures are followed.

Work closely with management to develop and implement business growth strategies.

Track operational KPIs and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in Merchant Operations, Sales, Field Operations, Mobile Money, Fintech, or Telecommunications.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
-
Excellent data analysis and performance management skills.
-
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
-
Ability to work in the field and travel when required.

Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve targets.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of merchant acquisition, activation, retention, and transaction growth.
