About MsingiTek: MsingiTek is a tablet based program that provides supplementary learning for students in Standards 1, 2, and 3. By putting Imagine Worldwide’s tablets and onebillion’s software in children’s hands, the program provides a dedicated moment of individual learning, enabling students to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Msingi Tek contributes to children in Tanzania building the literacy and numeracy skills needed to achieve their full potential!

About You: You are an experienced leader passionate about scaling impact in education. You excel at managing teams, fostering accountability and ownership, and driving results across multiple schools. You are adept at using data to inform decisions, provide targeted feedback, and lead challenging conversations. Your Goals: As the MsingiTek Program Manager, you will lead the implementation of the program across 30+ primary schools in Tabora, ensuring both fidelity and impact. You will directly manage a team of Field Officers, driving them to achieve weekly targets for student Time on Task (100 minutes per child per week). Your success will be measured by the program’s consistent delivery of quality learning and a strong transition of ownership and capacity to our school and government partners – ensuring the program’s impact lasts well beyond the TEDI’s direct support.
Your Responsibilities: This is a snapshot of your responsibilities – it’s not exhaustive, and we encourage you to take ownership of your role in ways that drive program success.

Team Leadership and Management: Directly manage 4-6 Field Officers. Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings, classroom observations, and coaching sessions to drive performance and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and support.

Data-Driven Management: Lead weekly team meetings using real-time performance data to identify successes, troubleshoot challenges, and set clear goals for the coming week.

Government Engagement: Manage and execute the government engagement strategy, coordinating with ward and district-level counterparts (WEOs and DEOs) to secure their buy-in and active participation in program oversight.

School Relationship Management: Work with your team to build strong relationships with school leaders and teachers, fostering their ownership of the program’s equipment, data use, and quality of learning.

Program Oversight: Ensure program fidelity by tracking that all schools and Field Officers are following protocols for equipment management, data reporting, and session execution.

Budget Management: Manage the program budget for the Tabora region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and providing financial reports as required.

Reporting: Submit timely, accurate monthly reports to the Head of Programs and Operations, highlighting progress, challenges, and key insights.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.

5+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years of experience in program management of similar size/complexity as MsingiTek.

3+ years of experience in rural community engagement.

3+ years of team leadership experience, preferably managing remote field-based teams.

Experience working with government stakeholders at various levels.

Experience implementing technology-driven programs (preferred).
