AKES, T is seeking a qualified and dedicated Science Teacher specializing in Biology and Chemistry to teach secondary school students (Form 1–Form 4) under the NECTA curriculum.
The role focuses on strong academic delivery, laboratory-based learning, and preparing students for national examinations.
🧑🏫 Key Responsibilities
🧪 Teaching & Learning
- Teach Biology and Chemistry (Form 1–Form 4) under the NECTA curriculum
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and revision programs
- Prepare students for national examinations with strong academic outcomes
🔬 Laboratory & Practical Work
- Conduct and supervise science practicals and experiments
- Ensure proper use, safety, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Organize and manage laboratory sessions effectively
📊 Student Performance & Academic Support
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support
- Focus on improving examination results for candidate classes
- Support learners in understanding complex scientific concepts
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualification majoring in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
📈 Experience Requirements
- 3–4 years of proven secondary school teaching experience
- Experience teaching candidate classes (Form 4) with good NECTA results
- Strong classroom and examination preparation experience
