Job Responsibilities
The Officer – Systems and Applications Developer will:
- Design, develop, and maintain internal software applications supporting school operations.
- Work with different departments to understand business requirements and create effective software solutions.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing applications.
- Develop secure, efficient, and maintainable software according to development standards.
- Test, debug, and review applications to ensure quality and reliability.
- Support integrations between internal and third-party systems.
- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
- Train users on newly developed applications.
- Provide technical support when required.
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Applications team to resolve support issues and enhance systems.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
Education
- Minimum Diploma in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Information Technology
- Or related field.
Technical Skills and Experience
Experience in:
- Software application development using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Software development principles.
- Database management and system integration.
Knowledge and experience with web development technologies including:
- PHP
- Bootstrap
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- SQL
- Relational databases
Experience working with:
- jQuery
- AJAX
- RESTful APIs
- Git version control
Additional advantages:
