Job Purpose

The Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

Plant and Process Operations

• Operate packaging equipment and related processes safely and efficiently.
• Optimize plant and process performance.
• Perform housekeeping activities using 5S principles.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices.
• Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), quick-fix routines, and problem-solving processes.

Quality Control

• Perform required quality checks and analyses.
• Record inspection and test results in the appropriate information systems.
• Apply problem-solving techniques such as:
  • 5 WHY Analysis
  • Quick Fix Routines
• Report unresolved quality issues to the Line Manager.

Communication

• Participate in team meetings and performance improvement (PI) reviews.
• Understand and contribute to team goals.
• Maintain accurate shift logbooks and operational records.
• Conduct effective shift handovers.
• Participate in autonomous operations and continuous improvement activities.

---

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Or a related engineering field

---

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum of 9 months of on-the-job training.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
• Understanding of VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) principles is an advantage.
