IMPORTANT APPLICATION MANDATE
Strict Requirement: This position EXCLUSIVELY requires a minimum of 2+ years of direct experience in Sales & Marketing within the Paints, Coatings, or Hardware Building Materials sector. Applicants without demonstrated paint product knowledge and existing hardware/contractor networks will NOT be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware & Stockist Expansion: Onboard, manage, and grow relationships with hardware store owners (maduka ya hardwari), paint stockists, and building material distributors.

Contractor & B2B Sales: Pitch directly to painting contractors, architects, site engineers, real estate developers, and painters’ associations (Vyama vya Mafundi Rangi).

Technical Product Advice: Demonstrate paint product features (coverage rates, washability, surface prep, primers, topcoats, and tinting systems) to resolve customer queries on site.

Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, trade schemes, and new coating products in the Tanzanian market.

Target Achievement: Consistently achieve monthly sales revenue, volume targets (liters sold), and new account acquisition metrics.
Key Requirements & Qualifications

Paint Sales Experience (Mandatory): 2+ years of active field sales experience specifically selling paints, decorative coatings, waterproofing, or hardware products.

Product Literacy: Solid, practical knowledge of paint types, coating application methods, surface preparation, and color matching/tinting solutions.

Network & Territory Management: Strong existing network of hardware store stockists, painting contractors, and project managers in Dar es Salaam and upcountry regions.

Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness to operate in the field and travel to any assigned region within Tanzania as needed.

Personal Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, field negotiation ability, high integrity, self-driven work ethic, and results-oriented mindset.

Age: Must be 18 years old or older.
