MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • a) Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans that align with the organization’s goals and focus on improving equipment reliability.
  • b) Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance planners, setting clear targets and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • c) Reading, understanding, and translating technical equipment manuals into processes required for Asset management (inspection, lubrication, preventive maintenance-mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, electronics, HSE, etc.).
  • d) Liaise with operations, engineering, and other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.
  • e) Analyse maintenance data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and equipment history to identify trends, perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring issues, and justify improvements.
  • f) Manage and optimize the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, scheduling, improvement, and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in cement manufacturing / extractive industries.
TECHNICAL / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • a) Demonstrated competence and experience in leading and managing teams for a minimum of five years.
  • b) Strong knowledge of projects management.
  • c) Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and motor circuits.
  • d) Knowledge of gearboxes, transmission, welding technical, lubrication, non-destructive testing.
  • e) Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015).
  • f) Knowledge on budgeting, cost analysis, and tracking.
  • g) Proficiency in MS Office applications.
