Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday; local arrangements may vary by country)
Salary Band
BG 9 (Salary will be determined according to local country salary structures)

Role Overview
The Regional Data Analyst – Africa will play a critical role in transforming fragmented operational, commercial, sales, and marketing data from multiple African markets into actionable business insights.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Commercial or Regional Head of Marketing (or equivalent), the role will support strategic decision-making by:
- Consolidating regional datasets
- Building and maintaining real-time dashboards
- Measuring intervention impact and return on investment (ROI)
- Forecasting risks and opportunities
- Improving data quality and accessibility
- Supporting country programmes (CPs) and regional teams with analytical insights
The position works closely with:
- Country data teams
- Commercial teams
- Marketing teams
- Supply chain teams
- Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) teams
to improve performance and scale successful interventions across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Data Consolidation & Management
- Consolidate data from multiple country programmes and operational systems.
- Transform fragmented datasets into reliable and usable information.
- Establish and maintain regional data standards.
- Improve data consistency and accessibility across markets.
Dashboard Development & Reporting
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards for:
- Commercial performance
- Marketing effectiveness
- Operational performance
- Program outcomes
- Develop automated reporting systems and reporting pipelines.
- Ensure stakeholders have access to timely and accurate performance data.
Analytics & Insights
- Analyze commercial, marketing, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Generate actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
- Translate complex analyses into concise business insights.
ROI Measurement & Impact Evaluation
- Measure the effectiveness of:
- Marketing campaigns
- Sales initiatives
- Program interventions
- Conduct impact evaluations using advanced analytical techniques.
- Present findings to senior leadership and country teams.
Forecasting & Predictive Analytics
- Develop forecasting models for:
- Sales performance
- Market opportunities
- Business risks
- Operational planning
- Monitor anomalies and emerging trends.
Data Governance & Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain data quality standards.
- Monitor data accuracy and completeness.
- Develop validation procedures and quality control mechanisms.
- Promote best practices in data governance across country programmes.
Capacity Building
- Develop training materials and analytical guidance tools.
- Conduct workshops and coaching sessions for country teams.
- Strengthen analytical capabilities across the region.
Required Skills

Data Engineering & Reporting
- Experience building:

Statistical Analysis

Forecasting & Predictive Modeling
Experience with:
- Time-Series Forecasting

Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL
- Python or R programming
- Data transformation and modeling
Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences.

- Ability to produce concise and actionable recommendations.
Required Experience
Candidates should possess:
- 4–7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.
- Experience supporting regional or multi-country operations.
- Proven ability to transform fragmented datasets into actionable dashboards and insights.
- Experience supporting:
- Commercial teams
- Sales teams
- Marketing teams
- Experience measuring ROI and business performance.
- Experience presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with country teams in low- and middle-income settings.
- Experience managing incomplete or irregular data flows.
- Experience deploying dashboards and analytics solutions in production environments.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and ETL tools.

Education Requirements
A degree in one of the following fields is desirable:
- Data Science
- Statistics
- Economics
