Shanta Gold is seeking dedicated ROM Pad Spotters to join the team at the Singida Gold Mine.

🔍 Role Overview
The ROM Pad Spotter ensures effective ore selective mining and material movement. This role is responsible for the accurate identification, tracking, and delivery of ore from the pit to the ROM Pad, ensuring compliance with grade control boundaries and blending strategies. You will play a key role in minimizing dilution and ore loss to support consistent feed quality to the mill.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
🛠 Ore Control & Planning

Marking: Mark ore perimeters using tapes and paint according to approved grade control maps.

Supervision: Oversee ore mining activities to ensure material is delivered to the correct designated ROM fingers.

Tracking: Count and record truck movements from the pit to the ROM Pad.

Documentation: Maintain accurate tally records of all ore movements to support reconciliation and reporting.
🧩 Operational Support & Coordination

Compliance: Support the Geology Supervisor in managing dilution and adhering to blending schedules and geology instructions.

Data Accuracy: Provide precise data to support shift-based reconciliation with Modular Dispatch.

Contamination Control: Identify service areas and ensure equipment servicing does not contaminate ore zones; remove leaking equipment from ore zones promptly.
📊 Data Integrity & Technical Support

Reporting: Submit daily reports for system capture and ensure the integrity of ore control data.

Reconciliation: Reconcile pit and ROM Pad tallies with dispatch data.

Quality Control: Identify potential causes of ore loss/dilution and recommend corrective actions.

Preparedness: Ensure operators follow procedures and that all dig maps and consumables are ready before mining begins.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications

Education: Secondary School Certificate (Form IV or VI).

Advantage: A Diploma in Mining Geology or an equivalent qualification is an added advantage.

Language: Good working knowledge of English.

Field Work: Practical field experience in mining or geology-related activities.
