Job Overview

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing the organization’s enterprise IT infrastructure.

The role ensures high availability, performance, and security across physical systems, networks, enterprise storage and virtualization platforms, containerized environments, and cloud services.

The engineer will lead complex infrastructure projects, enforce data center compliance, guide technical teams, and support the organization’s infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Virtualization & Identity Management

• Manage enterprise servers and Oracle/VMware platforms.
• Manage Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, access control, and Group Policies.
• Support enterprise identity and access management integrations.

2. Kubernetes & Microservices Orchestration

• Design and manage production Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage Helm deployments.
• Monitor and maintain Kubernetes node health.
• Support zero-downtime application deployments.
• Maintain Kubernetes Control Plane and Worker Nodes.
• Manage CNI/CSI plugins and ingress management.

3. Enterprise SAN & Storage Management

• Manage enterprise SAN and storage systems.
• Handle storage allocation and performance management.
• Conduct storage capacity planning.
• Manage multipathing and enterprise storage environments.

4. Backup, Security & Disaster Recovery

• Manage Veeam backup and restoration platforms.
• Manage archiving and storage replication.
• Support disaster recovery failover activities.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

5. Hardware & Data Center Health

• Maintain server hardware and related infrastructure.
• Manage racks and cabling.
• Support Tier II/III data center operations.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, stability, and operational health.

6. Infrastructure Automation & Monitoring

• Automate IT provisioning and configurations using Ansible and Terraform.
• Maintain enterprise infrastructure monitoring systems.
• Support monitoring and performance management using platforms such as NetData and Zabbix.

7. Cloud & Hybrid Integration

• Deploy and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Support integration between on-premises and cloud environments.

8. Project & Operations Leadership

• Lead IT infrastructure projects using JIRA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on infrastructure projects and operations.

Educational & Technical Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Senior IT Infrastructure role.

Virtualization & Identity Services

• Strong expertise in enterprise Oracle and VMware virtualization environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including:
  • AD DS
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Group Policy (GPO)
• Experience with IAM integrations.

Containerization

• Proven experience managing Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with:
  • Control Plane maintenance
  • Worker Node scaling
  • CNI/CSI plugins
  • Ingress management

Storage & Backup

• Deep knowledge of enterprise SAN and storage management.
• Experience with multipathing.
• Experience with enterprise backup and restoration platforms such as Veeam.

Operating Systems

• Advanced Linux server administration, including:
  • RHEL
  • Oracle Linux
  • Ubuntu
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Strong understanding of core networking.

Automation & Monitoring

• Strong proficiency in:
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • NetData
  • Zabbix
