JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the workforce and provide technical guidance in the operation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment used in cement manufacturing.

The role involves monitoring equipment condition, training team members on safe working practices, managing spare-parts planning, and maintaining targeted MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) for the assigned section.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as an operation and maintenance expert for mechanical equipment used in cement production, including vertical roller mills and reclaimers.
• Lead a team of engineers in supervising maintenance activities and ensuring timely completion.
• Ensure required quality standards are followed during maintenance work.
• Plan and implement preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and safety.
• Conduct failure investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime and maximize plant availability.
• Plan and allocate manpower for daily monitoring, breakdown maintenance, and shutdown activities.
• Prepare and maintain equipment checklists.
• Maintain adequate spare-parts inventory to support continuous cement production.
• Ensure plant equipment remains in safe operating condition through routine maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Utilize SAP MM and PM modules for maintenance and materials-management activities.
• Participate in upgrading and modifying existing systems to improve cement-production operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Section Head or Head of Department.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance.
• Experience in a cement manufacturing plant is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is required.
