Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and data centre infrastructure solutions.
The role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions across:
- Cloud environments
- On-premises infrastructure
- Data centre platforms
- Hosting solutions
The position supports:
- Presales engagements
- Technical consulting
- Solution architecture
- Implementation activities
- Service activation
The role ensures successful delivery within SLA timelines, customer acceptance, billing readiness, revenue growth, and improved customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Requirements & Solution Design
The Solutions Architect will:
- Lead the capture and analysis of customer requirements.
- Design technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Recommend suitable cloud, hosting, and data centre architectures.
Data Centre Environment Management
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure a reliable and ready environment for customers to host their equipment and solutions.
- Maintain high standards for data centre infrastructure readiness.
- Support availability, scalability, and security requirements.
Customer Implementation & Onboarding
The role will:
- Lead installation of customer equipment.
- Support implementation of customer solutions.
- Ensure smooth customer onboarding processes.
- Coordinate with technical teams to provide seamless support.
Testing, Training & Service Activation
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed successfully.
- Coordinate customer and internal team training on new solutions and features.
- Support successful transition of solutions into operational environments.
Innovation and Solution Development
The Solutions Architect will:
- Identify new and innovative hosting and cloud solutions.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to develop new service offerings.
- Support growth of colocation revenue.
- Improve customer experience through technology solutions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Professional Experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in areas such as:
- Strategic planning
- Project management
- Technical reporting
- Sales engineering
- Product development
Experience in cloud solutions, data centres, hosting, or enterprise ICT solutions will be an added advantage.
