SBC Tanzania Limited is a growing multinational company supplying soft drink products across Tanzania, with plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, and Mbeya.

The company is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join its Mbeya Plant as a Syrup Room Operator.

Position Summary

The Syrup Room Operator will be responsible for ensuring timely and proper syrup preparation to support smooth and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control machinery in the syrup room.
• Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) activities according to the CIP Matrix and company requirements.
• Accurately record and report information related to syrup production.
• Order required concentrates in a timely manner.
• Immediately report any failures or problems occurring during syrup preparation.
• Clean and replenish processing areas and syrup room equipment according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
• Ensure syrup-making activities meet required quality and production standards.

Required Competencies & Skills

Candidates should have:

• Knowledge of microbiological testing.
• Knowledge of chemical testing and standardisation methods.
• Good report-writing skills.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and with minimal supervision.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Certificate or Diploma in Laboratory, Chemistry, or Food Science.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
