Job Description

The System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring servers, systems, and related infrastructure operate efficiently and securely to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of:

• System architecture
• Network administration
• Cybersecurity best practices
• Cloud technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain:
  • Physical and virtual servers
  • Storage systems
  • Network devices
• Manage software installation, configuration, and security updates.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory or similar tools.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Conduct and test regular backup and recovery procedures.
• Administer:
  • Firewalls
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Wireless systems
• Ensure cybersecurity best practices and conduct security audits.
• Monitor potential security threats and implement countermeasures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users.
• Train staff and prepare system documentation.
• Analyze system logs and identify technical issues.
• Recommend and implement system improvements.
• Research and deploy new technologies and tools.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and procedures.
• Generate system performance and incident reports.
• Collaborate with the IT team and coordinate with vendors on upgrades and repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Related field
• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
• Experience with:
  • Windows Server
  • Linux
  • macOS
• Familiarity with:
  • VMware
  • Hyper-V
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as:
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
