Job Summary

The Treasury Back Office Section role is responsible for supporting treasury operations through monitoring cash movements, preparing treasury reports, reconciling accounts, verifying transactions, and ensuring compliance with treasury policies and service level agreements.

The role requires accuracy, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of banking operations, finance, and treasury processes.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Operations Management

Monitor cash movements in:
- Bank of Tanzania (BOT) clearing accounts.
- EAPS accounts.
- NOSTRO accounts.
Prepare daily Treasury T24 Profit and Loss reports.
Prepare cash holding reports and provide updates to branches.
Ensure treasury activities are completed according to approved policies and procedures.

Account Reconciliation & Controls

Perform reconciliation and reversal of Foreign Exchange (FX) suspense accounts.
Verify treasury-related transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Review GAP reports and advise dealers on overdrawn accounts.
Support effective treasury control processes.

SWIFT & Transaction Verification

Verify all SWIFT messages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure transactions are processed within agreed timelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Daily Responsibilities

Monitor treasury accounts and cash movements.
Prepare and review treasury reports.
Perform account reconciliations.
Verify SWIFT transactions.
Ensure all treasury activities comply with policies, procedures, and SLA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Academic Requirements

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Banking.
- Accounting.
- Finance.

Added Advantage:

Professional qualifications:
- CPA.
- ACCA.
Master’s Degree in a relevant field.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in:
- Treasury operations.
- Banking operations.
- Finance.
- Accounting.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
