Job Opportunity
The National Insurance Corporation (NIC) invites applications from qualified Tanzanian graduates for 21 Volunteer positions. The volunteer programme is designed to provide young professionals with practical skills, workplace exposure, and valuable experience in the insurance and corporate environment.

The National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is a leading insurance company in Tanzania established under the Companies Ordinance Act, CAP 212. The corporation provides insurance services, including general insurance, reinsurance, and co-insurance solutions.
Available Volunteer Positions
1. Insurance Officer II – 5 Posts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following:
- Insurance
- Actuarial Science
- Social Protection
- Risk Management
- Equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions
Additional Requirement:
- Knowledge of insurance products.
2. Records Management Assistant II – 4 Posts
Locations:
- NIC Headquarters – 2 Posts
- Tabata – 2 Posts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in any of the following fields:
- Records Management
- Archives
- Archive and Documentation
- Records and Information Management
- Equivalent qualifications
Experience:
- At least 4 years working experience in a relevant field.
3. ICT Officer II – 1 Post
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in any of the following fields:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Database Administration
- Computer Systems Analysis
- Computer Systems Security
- Network Administration
- Web and Multimedia Administration
- Computer Applications
- Computer Programming
- Equivalent qualifications
Experience:
- At least 4 years working experience in a related field.
4. Planning Officer II – 2 Posts
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Economics
- Project Planning and Management
- Economic Planning
- Equivalent qualifications
Additional Requirement:
- Must be computer literate.
5. Accounts Officer II – 2 Posts
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Accountancy
- Finance
- Commerce
- Business Administration (majoring in Accounting or Finance)
OR
- Intermediate Certificate (Module D) offered by NBAA.
6. Legal Officer II – 1 Post
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Must have completed and passed:
- Internship, or
- Law School of Tanzania.
7. Technician – Graphic Designer II – 1 Post
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma in:
- Information and Communication Technology
- Computer Science
- Graphic Design
- Multimedia Production
- Mass Communication
General Conditions
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must be aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Must have never been employed in any Public Institution.
- Volunteer engagement period shall not exceed 12 months and may be renewed for a maximum of two additional periods.
- Must have no criminal record or disciplinary misconduct.
- Must demonstrate good conduct and acceptable behavior.
- Must not have been employed in any Public Institution since graduation.
