ABOUT THE ROLE

The Warehouse Coordinator – Materials is responsible for managing inbound and outbound inventory operations for SBL products, including raw materials, packaging materials and Point of Sale (POS) materials, for a specific warehouse as assigned.

The role is responsible for ensuring that these operations are carried out efficiently, safely and cost-effectively.

TOP ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Execution

• Execute Materials Requirement Plans (MRP) to ensure appropriate warehouse utilization.

2. Inventory Management

• Carry out weekly counts, monthly stock takes and annual stock takes.
• Conduct variance analysis.
• Track inventory levels.
• Track stock aging.
• Monitor innovations and SLOBs.
• Relay relevant information back to PLAN.

3. Performance Management Reviews

• Lead shift-based and daily performance reviews.
• Conduct meetings, monitor KPIs, carry out walkabouts, track actions and escalate issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Work with both Diageo and 3PL teams to support improvements and implementation of initiatives.

4. Controls

• Ensure that the warehouse, whether owned or leased, meets Diageo’s HSE standards.
• Optimize lighting, signage, security, warehouse racks and layout configuration.
• Ensure compliance with relevant systems, standards and requirements, including CARM, IAA, ISOs and SFIPP.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a related operations or inventory management role.
• Computer literate and able to work within agreed timelines and priorities.
• Good communication skills.
• Commercial acumen.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing operations environment.
