About the Role

Planet Lodges & Lairs, a group of established brands in Tanzania’s safari and hospitality industry, is seeking a skilled Web Developer & Digital Marketing Specialist to strengthen its online presence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing company websites, implementing digital marketing strategies, improving online visibility, and creating content that converts audience interest into bookings.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Management

• Build, manage, optimize, and take ownership of WordPress websites.
• Improve website performance, SEO rankings, and conversion rates.
• Manage website updates, functionality, and user experience improvements.
• Ensure websites remain effective marketing and booking platforms.

Digital Marketing

• Develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns across:
  • SEO/GEO
  • SEM
  • Social media marketing
  • Email marketing
• Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies based on results.
• Increase online visibility and customer engagement.

Content Creation

• Create engaging content for:
  • Websites
  • Blogs
  • Social media platforms
  • Newsletters
• Develop content strategies that support brand awareness and bookings.

Analytics & Performance Tracking

• Analyze website and campaign performance data.
• Use insights to improve digital marketing strategies.
• Track key performance indicators and provide recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in web development and digital marketing (in-house or agency experience).
• Demonstrated experience building and managing WordPress websites using Elementor.
• Ability to provide live links to websites previously developed or managed.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • SEO/SEM
  • Social media marketing
  • Email marketing
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Marketing
  • Digital Media
  • Or related field

Additional Skills (Advantageous)

Experience or knowledge in the following areas will be an added advantage:

• Travel or safari tourism industry.
• Graphic design tools such as:
  • Canva
  • Adobe Creative Suite
• AI tools including:
  • ChatGPT
  • Gemini
• CRM systems and email marketing platforms.
