Job Title: Yellow Machine Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough diagnostic checks on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, and steering/braking systems on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing, fluid changes, filter replacements, and scheduled inspections to prevent unexpected field failures.
• Major Repairs & Overhauls: Repair or replace worn components, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, tracks, undercarriages, buckets, and attachments.
• Field & Workshop Service: Troubleshoot and fix disabled machinery both in the workshop and directly out in the field when emergencies arise.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow strict safety procedures regarding heavy lifting, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of proven hands-on experience as a heavy-duty mechanic specializing in earthmoving equipment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of complex hydraulic and electronic control systems, diesel engines, and heavy power trains.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues independently and read technical service manuals or schematics.
