Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable subject to funding)
Salary: TZS 1,351,552 per month (before tax)

Right To Play works globally to protect, educate, and empower children through play. The organization operates in multiple regions including Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, supporting children in vulnerable and challenging environments.
Job Purpose
The Driver will provide safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services for staff, visitors, goods, and equipment. The role supports programme delivery by ensuring compliance with:
- Traffic laws
- Road safety standards
- Security protocols
- Vehicle maintenance requirements
Key Responsibilities
Transportation and Road Safety
- Ensure safe and punctual transport of staff and visitors
- Practice defensive driving at all times
- Assess road and weather conditions before and during travel
- Support safe movement to assigned destinations
Vehicle Maintenance
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness
- Check functionality and report mechanical issues promptly
- Report breakdowns, damages, and maintenance needs
Security and Incident Reporting
- Stay informed about security risks along travel routes
- Follow organizational security procedures
- Report incidents and safety concerns as required
Documentation and Logs
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks
- Record trips, fuel usage, and maintenance history
- Document incidents and operational details
- Support accountability and cost efficiency
Logistical Support
- Load and unload supplies and equipment safely
- Support field operations and logistics as needed
Scope and Working Relationships
- Supports all departments within Right To Play Tanzania
- Works closely with staff, visitors, and internal teams
- Interacts with external service providers and stakeholders when required
Qualifications and Certifications
- Secondary school certificate or vocational training
- Valid driver’s license (relevant category)
- First Aid certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience
- Experience transporting passengers
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices
Technical Skills
- Basic vehicle repair skills
- Knowledge of traffic laws and road safety
- Ability to use GPS and maps
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel long distances
