Position: Relationship Manager – Trade Finance

Role Summary

The Relationship Manager – Trade Finance is responsible for driving growth of the Bank’s trade finance portfolio through acquisition, management, and retention of corporate and SME customers engaged in local and international trade. The role focuses on providing structured trade solutions, deepening customer relationships, increasing non-funded income, managing risks, and ensuring delivery of excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional banking or trade finance certification will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of international trade finance products and processes.
Experience in credit analysis and financial statement interpretation.
Knowledge of ICC trade rules and banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Grow the Bank’s trade finance portfolio through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing relationships.
Market and sell trade finance products and identify cross-selling opportunities for other banking services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, commercial, and SME customers.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare credit proposals for trade finance facilities.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
Ensure accurate documentation and support customers with transaction requirements.
Adhere to Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations, ICC rules, AML/CFT guidelines, and internal controls.
Prepare portfolio and performance reports and track sales targets.
Monitor profitability, provide market intelligence, and support strategy planning.
