Job Overview
Reporting to the Regional Accounts Manager, the Branch Accounts and Operations Officer will oversee:
- Branch finance and accounting
- Procurement and administration
- Operational coordination
- Financial reporting
- Stakeholder engagement
- Programme support activities
The role supports smooth implementation of programme activities while ensuring compliance with BRAC policies and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & Accounts
The successful candidate will:
- Manage daily cash collections and reconciliations
- Maintain vouchers, bills, and financial records
- Coordinate banking activities and cash requisitions
- Synchronize collections with accounting systems
- Track branch cash flow and expenses
- Prepare financial, MIS, and donor reports
- Maintain financial and procurement documentation
2. Branch Operations Support
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting AIM clubs and community meetings
- Assisting mentor recruitment and onboarding
- Supporting club operations and participant engagement
- Coordinating service provider relationships
- Supporting livelihood and education activities
- Assisting programme implementation and reporting
3. Supervisory & Coordination Support
The officer will:
- Support branch coordination activities
- Assist in monitoring and survey activities
- Help organize community dialogues and workshops
- Supervise branch administrative support staff where applicable
4. Administration & Safety
The role also includes:
- Supporting efficient office operations
- Managing office supplies and records
- Coordinating safety and security matters
- Supporting incident reporting and documentation
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
- Finance
- Accounts
- Business Administration
- Commerce
- Related fields
- At least 2 years of experience in development programmes, including:
- Finance and accounting
- Microfinance
- Livelihood programmes
- Education or women empowerment programmes
