Job Purpose
The Specialist Digital Channels Systems will support and maintain self-service and digital banking systems, provide second-level technical support, and escalate complex issues to third-level support when necessary.
The role supports daily operations of digital banking platforms including:
- Internet Banking
- Sim Banking USSD
- Sim Banking Mobile App
- Agent Banking
- Smart Pay
- Smart Branch
- MUSE
- SimAccount
- Smart Loan
- Biometric Engine
- School Fees
- CSM
- SADAKA
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Monitoring
- Provide technical support and monitoring for digital channel systems
- Deliver 24/7 on-call support for assigned systems
- Supervise daily operational support activities
System Changes & Testing
- Document and analyze technical specifications for projects and system changes
- Review, test, and implement updates and enhancements according to Change Management policies
- Conduct system integration testing
- Support upgrades, hotfixes, and patch deployments
User Support & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve hardware and software issues
- Provide end-user support and technical troubleshooting
- Coordinate communication during incidents and outages
System Administration & Operations
- Configure:
- Hardware
- Digital systems
- Services
- Storage
- Directories
- Monitor:
- Server resources
- System performance
- Application logs
- Backup completion
- Perform:
- Backup operations
- File archival and purging
- Recovery from hardware/software failures
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Telecom Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Or equivalent IT-related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in ICT-related roles
- At least 2 years supporting self-service digital channels in large organizations
Certifications
- Professional ITSM qualification such as:
- ITIL
