Job Overview

The Group Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating procurement activities across the companies to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services.

Education Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • CPSP
  • CIPS
  • Equivalent procurement qualifications

Preferred Knowledge

Relevant Work Experience

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in:
    • Procurement
    • Supply chain
    • Purchasing operations
  • Experience handling group or multi-unit procurement activities within a large organization
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Supplier sourcing
    • Negotiation
    • Tendering
    • Contract management
  • Experience using ERP systems such as:
    • Odoo
    • SAP
    • Procurement management systems
  • Good understanding of:
    • Importation procedures
    • Logistics coordination
    • Inventory control
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and procurement records efficiently

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Coordinate procurement activities for all departments and business units
  • Source reliable suppliers and negotiate favourable prices, terms, and contracts
  • Prepare and process:
    • Purchase requisitions
    • Purchase orders
    • Procurement documentation
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Coordinate tendering and quotation processes
  • Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods and services
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and supplier databases
  • Work closely with finance, logistics, and departmental teams
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Ensure quality standards are met for procured goods and services
  • Support importation and logistics processes
  • Perform any other procurement-related duties assigned by management
