Earthworks Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, filling and compaction works

• Ensure earthworks operations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and safety standards

• Coordinate the use of construction equipment, materials, and workforce on site

• Monitor site levels, alignment and compaction quality to meet project requirements

• Prepare daily work progress reports and communicate site issues to project supervisors

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site

• Coordinate with engineers and technical teams on project activities

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of earthworks, excavation, grading and compaction works

• Good understanding of site safety and environmental regulations

• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures in road works

• Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction standards

• Effective planning and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related construction field

• Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in road earthworks and civil works supervision

• Practical experience in excavation, grading, compaction, gravel placement and construction equipment coordination

• Ability to supervise workforce activities and ensure compliance with site safety regulations

• Ability to prepare site reports, measurements and progress records
