Position Summary

Stan Safaris is seeking a visionary, commercially driven, and transformational Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) to lead the company’s strategic growth, operational performance, and business expansion across its tourism and hospitality operations.

The successful candidate will provide executive leadership across all business divisions and will be responsible for:

  • Strategy execution

The GCEO will report directly to the shareholders and will be accountable for the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of the company.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with growth objectives and market positioning.
  • Provide overall direction and leadership across all company operations.
  • Represent the company in strategic meetings, industry forums, stakeholder engagements, and business negotiations.

Operations Management

  • Oversee all company operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Strengthen operational systems, internal controls, reporting structures, and accountability frameworks.
  • Ensure effective coordination across departments and business units.

Business Development and Growth

  • Identify new revenue opportunities and expand market reach.
  • Develop innovative tourism and hospitality products and services.
  • Lead sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy, bookings, partnerships, and brand visibility.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and industry developments.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Travel agents
    • Tour operators
    • Corporate clients
    • Tourism boards
    • Investors
    • Suppliers
    • Strategic partners

Financial Management

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and profitability.
  • Prepare and present financial summaries and performance reports to shareholders and directors.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all company operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in guest experience and service delivery.

Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight to senior management teams and department heads.
  • Foster a high-performance and accountability-driven organizational culture.

Transport and Logistics Oversight

  • Oversee transport coordination and fleet management.
  • Manage logistics operations, maintenance planning, and operational scheduling.
  • Ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in transport operations.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tourism, transport, labor, health and safety, and business regulations.
  • Maintain strong corporate governance and operational accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • MBA or other postgraduate qualification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience within hospitality, tourism, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in a CEO, General Manager, Country Manager, or Operations Director role.
  • Strong background in:
    • Hospitality operations
    • Tour operations management
    • Transport and logistics
    • Commercial growth and business development
  • Demonstrated success in business expansion and profitability improvement.
  • Experience managing multi-property or multi-department operations.
  • Strong strategic, financial, and operational management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
