Position Overview
AB InBev is seeking a qualified Process Artisan to join its team at Dar es Salaam Headquarters (DSM HQ). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant equipment and associated devices to ensure maximum plant availability, consistent product quality, and cost-effective operations while maintaining company standards.
Key Purpose of the Role
To operate, maintain, repair, and optimize plant and associated equipment in order to:
- Maximize plant availability.
- Maintain high product quality.
- Minimize operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with AB InBev operational and safety standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Process Artisan will be responsible for:
Plant Operations & Safety
- Safely operate plant equipment and identify unsafe work practices for corrective action.
- Perform duties according to work instructions and AB InBev policies and procedures.
- Carry out housekeeping activities and apply 5S workplace principles.
Monitoring & Documentation
- Record and interpret critical process parameters in logbooks, SIC, and other operational records.
- Monitor plant performance and ensure accurate documentation.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Participate in maintenance planning meetings by providing technical input.
- Assist team members during planned maintenance activities.
- Participate in cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections.
- Resolve problems identified during routine maintenance using appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Perform condition monitoring activities assigned through the Condition Monitoring (CM) schedule.
- Carry out running repairs on plant and equipment.
- Report repairs that cannot be completed during operation to the Maintenance Planner for scheduling during planned maintenance shutdowns.

- Ability to train, coach, and mentor employees on ATO and 5S principles.
- Ability to optimize equipment usage and reduce operational waste.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong self-management and organizational skills.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
Education
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating utilities plants or working as an Artisan in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience in utilities operations is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Basic computer skills, including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Basic knowledge of electronic communication devices.
